Movistar Formula1 increases fan engagement with el Post de la Afición, powered by Xtreamr

Movistar+ owns the exclusive rights for Formula1 coverage in Spain for 2017. On their dedicated Formula1 channel, the segment, el Post de la Afición, airs on Sundays after the Grand Prix races. On this interactive programme, fans connect live with Xtreamr and ask questions directly to experts and ex-drivers: Toni Cuquerella, Pedro de la Rosa, Miguel Portillo and Iñaki Cano.

Not only do fans at home use Xtreamr to connect via their smartphones or computers, but the programme presenter also uses Xtreamr’s presenter app to moderate the show. She controls the flow of the conversation by tapping on the tactile screen to seamlessly move from one participant to the next.

“Xtreamr allows us to incorporate a format that is dynamic, cutting edge, and close to our customers, integrating their opinions in an interactive way.”
Julio MoralesDirector Movistar F1

“From a technical perspective, Xtreamr is easy to integrate with a production studio. Additionally, the ability to adapt the look and feel to the programme’s specific creative needs is very valuable for us as it allows us to keep the format of this segment consistent with the look of the overall channel.”
Albert PalauProducer Movistar F1

“The Xtreamr segment is a great opportunity for people to get more involved in the programming and to share different points of view. It’s a great move for Movistar F1.”
